As a testimony to what they do, this local recycling company dismantled a 6,800 square foot rigid frame structure located in the Philadelphia area and transported it to their new facility in eastern Lancaster County. Their intent was to reuse its rigid frames for reconstructing a new building, in essence “recycle” the former structure. With no existing documentation available, R. Forney & Associates helped achieve their goal by first conducting a feasibility study to determine the capabilities of the frames based on the site specific Code requirements, and then secondly by performing design of supplemental elements of the primary structural system such as bracing, foundations, and roof and wall purlins.
