This project provided a two-bay addition for the service department. In doing so, the design team fulfilled the Owner’s desire for increased overhead clearance and maximum flexibility by designing a steel transfer truss to permit the removal of the existing load bearing end wall along with providing support for an existing steel girder. The new exterior load-bearing walls were designed and detailed for partial removal for future openings.
